If that would be me, I'd crawl in my tent and pray it would hold. I'd cook there, sit in my sleeping bag and wait for rain to go away. You are doing tremendous amount of work and have skill and knowledge and gear I lack. Good job!

Hats off to the most epic fire builder Ever! I thought “That wet wood will never burn!” And I was very wrong. I love the technique of stacking all the bits on top of the fire and holding it all down with larger pieces- brilliant! And the stone wall was smart. There’s probably a name for this kind of fire? I don’t camp so don’t know. Much fun to watch this from the comfort of home. ❤

Over eating on hotdogs and pancakes, you'd make a good 'merican. 😉😁 I should know, I am one, although 2 is my limit. The air mattress on the pad that's already there would have been something I'd do, but then I'm going on 72, so I'd need it more. I just stumbled onto this video, took me a bit to realize it's New Zealand, the name of the hut gave it away. I plan on visiting and hoping my presence will stop the rain, although we are supposed to have a couple of storms roll through tomorrow, so there's that. Take care.
